Inter Milan are planning to raise between €40-50 million through the sale of three players – Davide Frattesi, Kristjan Asllani, and Benjamin Pavard – to bolster their transfer budget for the upcoming summer window, according to reports from Italy. The club appears to have deemed the trio surplus to requirements, with limited playing time suggesting their futures lie elsewhere.
Midfielder Davide Frattesi has seen his market value decrease in the past season, and is now valued around €25 million. While he previously impressed under Simone Inzaghi, contributing with goals, he has been largely a squad player under current coach Cristian Chivu, making 22 Serie A appearances totaling 522 minutes without scoring or providing an assist. Frattesi has been linked with a return to Roma, but financial constraints may prevent a direct swap deal involving other targets. Interest also exists from Serie A rivals Atalanta, now managed by Gian Piero Gasperini, and Juventus under Massimiliano Allegri, though his high wages could be a barrier for Atalanta. Premier League side Nottingham Forest, who previously pursued Frattesi in January, are also monitoring the situation, alongside other foreign clubs.
Kristjan Asllani is currently on loan at Besiktas, where he has reportedly impressed. The Turkish club are considering exercising their option to buy, which would bring an immediate €11 million to Inter, though they may seek a discount, potentially reopening negotiations. Benjamin Pavard’s loan spell at Marseille will not result in a permanent transfer. The defender is open to staying at Inter, but the club are leaning towards a sale to capitalize on his value, with clubs in the Saudi Pro League emerging as potential suitors.
Carlos Augusto, however, remains in Inter’s plans. The Brazilian has proven to be a versatile asset, making 46 appearances and contributing with two goals and two assists. Talks are underway with his agent to renew his contract, which currently runs until 2028, with a potential salary increase facilitated by tax benefits under the Italian Growth Decree. These moves signal Inter’s intent to reshape their squad and strengthen their position as Serie A champions.
