Italy’s national team, currently under the temporary charge of Silvio Baldini, boasts a collective market value of €300 million, according to a report from nazionale. The assessment comes as Baldini prepares his squad for upcoming matches against Luxembourg and Crete, prioritizing younger players in his selections.
Pio Esposito, the Inter Milan striker, is highlighted as a key component of this youthful team and is currently considered untouchable by his club. The report states that Inter would demand a fee of €45 million for any potential suitors, indicating their firm stance on retaining the player. Esposito recently secured a Serie A title with Inter and has established himself as a prominent figure in Italian football.
Also attracting significant interest is Inter winger Palestra, valued at €40 million. The Nerazzurri are reportedly prepared to actively pursue his acquisition, with Cristian Chivu leading the charge. Roma’s Pisilli completes the top three most valuable players in Baldini’s squad, carrying a valuation of €30 million.
Further down the list, Atalanta’s Ahanor is estimated to be worth around €30 million, while Milan’s Bartezzaghi is valued slightly above €20 million. Fiorentina’s Comuzzo and Ndour, also of Fiorentina, are similarly priced, alongside Genoa’s Ekhator. Several other players are assessed at €15 million, including Borussia Dortmund’s Inacio and Reggiani, and Lecce loanee Francesco Camarda, who is owned by Milan.
Baldini’s selections represent a clear signal of intent – a focus on building for the future and injecting energy into the national team. The collective value of these players suggests a promising outlook for Italian football, as the nation seeks to recover from recent setbacks, including failing to qualify for major tournaments.
