Juventus are awaiting a decisive move from Dusan Vlahovic as the club and player remain at odds over contract terms, according to reports in Italy. Manager Luciano Spalletti has publicly indicated a willingness to welcome Vlahovic back to Turin, but stressed the player must actively seek a return, stating that he must “ring the bell” to reopen talks.
Negotiations are currently stalled due to Vlahovic’s demands, which include an annual salary of €8 million and a further €8 million in commission for his father and agent, Milos Vlahovic. Juventus are unwilling to meet these demands, and are instead proposing a two-year contract worth approximately €6.5 million per season. The club is firm in its stance, prioritizing financial stability and team harmony.
Vlahovic previously played for Juventus from January 2022, scoring 16 goals in 42 appearances before departing. His form dipped last season while on loan at West Ham United, where he struggled to make a significant impact. He is currently weighing his options, with a move to Besiktas – who have offered an €8 million net salary – also on the table. However, Vlahovic reportedly prefers a club competing at a higher level.
Despite reported interest from Barcelona and Napoli, no concrete offers have materialized. An Inter Milan move appears unlikely, with the Nerazzurri expected to retain their current attacking options. Juventus are aware of their leverage in negotiations, but also acknowledge the cost of acquiring a high-caliber striker, citing the high asking prices for players like Randal Kolo Muani, Alexander Sorloth, and Folarin Balogun. A return for Vlahovic, at a more reasonable salary, would be convenient for Spalletti, but the club are prepared to pursue alternative targets if an agreement cannot be reached. This situation could force Juventus to explore other attacking options in the transfer market.
