Juventus have identified Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour as a summer transfer target, according to reports in Italy. The 20-year-old has become a key player for Fiorentina over the past six months, establishing himself as a regular starter under coach Paolo Vanoli, and the Turin club are now considering a move for the Senegal-born Italy international.
Ndour joined Fiorentina in January 2025 on a loan from Paris Saint-Germain, with the Italian club making the deal permanent for a fee of €5 million, retaining a 50% sell-on clause for the French champions. He quickly impressed, contributing seven goals across Serie A and the Conference League, including strikes against Inter and Juventus. His ability to make late runs into the box and find the back of the net has drawn comparisons to Paul Pogba, a player Ndour has long admired.
Juventus’ interest stems from sporting director Fabio Paratici, who previously scouted the player, and is now supported by new director Giovanni Carnevali. While Fiorentina are reportedly reluctant to sell, Juventus are prepared to make a significant offer, with the Florence-based club valuing Ndour at a minimum of €30 million. The player himself has expressed ambitions to represent Italy at a major tournament, having recently earned caps with the national team.
Ndour’s versatility is a key asset, capable of playing in multiple midfield roles. He has developed significantly in his reading of the game and timing of runs, adding a goalscoring threat to his box-to-box capabilities. His journey has taken him from Brescia and Atalanta in Italy to Benfica and PSG, where he played alongside Kylian Mbappé. A move to Juventus would present a significant opportunity for Ndour to further his development and potentially emulate the success of his idol, Pogba. His arrival would add depth and dynamism to the Juventus midfield as they look to challenge for Serie A title next season.
