Fiorentina have announced the departure of Daniele Galloppa, the coach who led their Primavera youth team to a league title – their first in 43 years – and a Coppa Italia victory. The club confirmed the move in an official statement, wishing Galloppa well as he embarks on a new role managing a Serie B team.
Galloppa took charge of Fiorentina’s youth setup in 2020, transitioning into the Primavera role in 2023. His tenure saw immediate success, securing the Coppa Italia Primavera in his first season. The team reached the Primavera Championship final the following year before culminating in the Scudetto victory on May 28th, 2026, a significant achievement for the club’s academy.
Throughout his time with the Viola, Galloppa was praised not only for his tactical acumen but also for his ability to connect with and develop young players. Fiorentina highlighted his “great humanity and capacity to speak to the boys,” noting that many talents from the club’s academy have since progressed to professional football. The club statement specifically mentioned the joy he brought in delivering the Primavera Scudetto at the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park.
Club President Giuseppe Commisso and his mother, Catherine, expressed their deep gratitude to Galloppa, describing him as a man of value and a professional of great quality. His departure marks the end of a successful chapter for Fiorentina’s youth development program, and the club will now begin the search for a replacement to continue building on the foundation he established. The move allows Galloppa to step up to a senior managerial role in Serie B, furthering his coaching career after a distinguished period with the Florentine club.
