Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka, with manager Luciano Spalletti identifying him as a key target to strengthen the team’s midfield. While no formal offer has yet been made to either Lobotka or Napoli, Spalletti has reportedly stressed the need for added quality and experience in the center of the pitch, believing Lobotka could effectively partner with Manuel Locatelli in a dual-regista system.
Lobotka’s future at Napoli is currently uncertain, with the player himself considering his options after a demanding season. He is weighing the possibility of extending his contract, which is set to expire in June 2027, or seeking a new challenge elsewhere. Napoli are eager to renew his deal, but Lobotka is taking time to evaluate potential offers from across Europe, including Italy. The club are keen to resolve the situation quickly, particularly as Lobotka has a release clause of €25 million valid for foreign clubs.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is unlikely to accept a fee close to the release clause should Lobotka signal his intention to leave, potentially demanding upwards of €35 million. Juventus are aware of this and are assessing their financial position, potentially needing to generate funds through player sales – with Douglas Luiz and Teun Koopmeiners among those who could depart – before making a formal bid. The departure of Antonio Conte, with whom Lobotka reportedly did not have a strong relationship, could also influence his decision to remain at Napoli under current manager Massimiliano Allegri.
Adding another layer to the situation, Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka has reportedly offered his services to Juventus. While Spalletti is interested in the German international, the club is prioritizing strengthening the goalkeeping, midfield and attacking positions first. Lobotka, who has been a consistent performer for Napoli, continues to assess his options as interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in Europe mounts. His decision will likely hinge on the sporting project offered and the financial terms presented by potential suitors.
