Inter are monitoring several players at Roma as they look to strengthen their squad during the transfer window, according to reports. The Nerazzurri’s sporting directors, Marotta and Ausilio, are awaiting the official appointment of Roma’s new sporting director, Tony D’Amico, to initiate discussions regarding potential transfers between the two clubs.
Davide Frattesi, who struggled to make an impact at Inter last season with no goals or assists, could be used as a bargaining chip to acquire Manu Koné. Koné has been a long-term target for Inter, with previous attempts to sign him last summer failing due to resistance from Roma’s ownership. However, the Friedkin family are now under pressure to sell players before June 30th to comply with financial regulations agreed upon in 2022. Frattesi is valued at approximately €25 million and, being a Roman native who came through Atalanta’s youth system, could be keen on a return to the capital.
Another player of interest for Inter is Evan N’Dicka, currently with the Ivory Coast national team despite recently recovering from an injury. The 26-year-old centre-back joined Roma in 2023 and has reportedly impressed Inter’s assistant coach, Cristian Chivu. Inter are expected to sign at least one central defender this summer, with Solet considered a priority, and Muharemovic also being monitored. Should German defender Robin Bisseck, valued at around €50 million and attracting attention from Bayern Munich, depart, Inter may invest in a second centre-back. N’Dicka’s estimated value is between €30-35 million.
Carlos Augusto, a versatile Brazilian player currently at Inter, is also a potential target for Roma. He was initially included in Brazil’s 55-man pre-squad for the World Cup but was ultimately cut from the final list. While Augusto’s financial situation prevents him from being included in a direct swap deal for Koné or N’Dicka, Roma are still interested in his flexibility and could pursue a separate transfer with D’Amico at the helm. These potential moves could reshape both squads ahead of the upcoming season, addressing key areas of need for both clubs.
