AC Milan have renewed their interest in Strasbourg winger Guéla Doué, according to reports from Italy. The Rossoneri, having already secured the signings of Gonçalo Ramos and Mario Gila this transfer window, are now focusing on strengthening their options on the right flank, with manager Rubén Amorim potentially deploying Alexis Saelemaekers on the left.
Doué, an Ivorian international, was previously a target for Milan last year, but the club were reportedly deterred by Strasbourg’s high valuation. However, with increased investment from owner Gerry Cardinale – who has overseen over €100 million in spending on Ramos and Gila – Milan are now in a stronger financial position to pursue the 2002-born player. The club are seemingly prepared to make a third attempt to sign the player.
Contacts have begun with Doué’s representatives, who are said to be receptive to a potential move to the San Siro. Milan have reportedly offered the player a five-year contract worth €2.5 million per season, plus bonuses. Negotiations with Strasbourg are now underway, with the coming days expected to be crucial in determining whether an agreement can be reached.
Milan are also monitoring other potential targets. Rafik Belghali of Hellas Verona, valued at around €15 million, has emerged as an alternative option at right-back, with Fiorentina also expressing interest. Further forward, the club are tracking Kerim Alajbegovic of Bayer Leverkusen, Kostantinos Karestas of Genk, and Can Uzun of Eintracht Frankfurt. Alajbegovic, a 2007-born prospect, particularly impressed Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the recent World Cup.
Defensive reinforcements are also being considered, with the future of Fikayo Tomori, whose contract expires in 2027, uncertain. Should Tomori depart, Milan may move for Gonçalo Inácio of Sporting, Antonio Silva of Benfica, or Thomas Kristensen of Udinese. Discussions regarding Kristensen took place during a recent visit from Udinese’s sporting director, Gianluca Nani, to Milan’s headquarters. Udinese also enquired about Milan midfielder Warren Bondo, who recently returned from a loan spell at Cremonese.
