Napoli are in advanced talks to sign Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise, according to reports in Italy. The 21-year-old Israeli winger has emerged as a key target for Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna, with discussions already underway regarding a potential transfer.
Khalaili, who will turn 22 in September, has impressed with his performances for Union Saint-Gilloise over the past two seasons. He made 51 appearances this past season, accumulating 4194 minutes played, scoring five goals and providing six assists across both domestic and Champions League competitions. Manna first scouted Khalaili during an international match between Italy and Israel seven months ago, and has been consistently impressed by his versatility and potential.
The Belgian club are reportedly seeking a fee in the region of €20 million for Khalaili, presenting a potential hurdle in negotiations. Napoli have initiated discussions to secure a preliminary agreement, described as a ‘moral option’, but reaching a full agreement with Union Saint-Gilloise will require further negotiation. Despite the financial challenge, there is a positive feeling surrounding the deal, fueled by the player’s desire to join Napoli.
Napoli are also considering other options to bolster their squad, with Atta and Davis, a midfielder and forward respectively, both attending a recent match at the Maradona Stadium. Additionally, Manna is monitoring defensive options, including Rafa Marin, currently on loan from Villarreal, and Gila of Lazio, whose contract expires in 2027. The club anticipates the departure of Juan Jesus and are seeking reinforcements in multiple positions. Securing Khalaili remains a priority, as Napoli aim to strengthen their right-wing options and proactively address potential needs in the squad.
