Mohamed Salah is poised to leave Liverpool this summer, with Fenerbahce emerging as the frontrunner to secure his signature. Reports from Turkish outlet Sabah indicate that the Turkish Super Lig runners-up have met three key demands from the Egyptian forward, including continued participation in top-level European competition via Champions League qualifying. Fenerbahce are reportedly prepared to offer Salah a €10million per-year contract, matching his current earnings at Anfield, alongside a three-year deal.
Salah’s potential move comes as Liverpool prepare for a significant overhaul of their forward line. The club has already been linked with several Premier League forwards as potential replacements, including Mohammed Kudus of Tottenham, Yankuba Minteh from Brighton, Rayan of Bournemouth, Anthony Gordon at Newcastle, and West Ham duo Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville. The Athletic reports that the viability of moves for Summerville, Bowen, and Kudus will largely depend on their respective clubs’ Premier League status next season.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig as a top target, but are exploring Premier League options for experience. Slot is already familiar with Minteh, having previously worked with him during a loan spell at Feyenoord. The club is also considering non-Premier League options, including Michael Olise of Bayern Munich, Rodrygo of Real Madrid, Bradley Barcola of PSG, and Kenan Yildiz of Juventus.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has dismissed speculation linking Xabi Alonso with a return to Liverpool as manager, stating that the club is fully supporting current boss Arne Slot. Despite some fan discontent, Liverpool are planning an end-of-season review but have no intention of making a managerial change. There have been reports of Galatasaray also contacting Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, but the likelihood of the defender departing appears slim despite the arrival of Jeremy Jacquet.
