Adama Traoré will leave West Ham United at the end of his contract on June 30th, the club confirmed on Monday. The Spanish winger joined West Ham in January of the previous year from Fulham for a reported fee of €2.3 million.
Traoré featured for just 363 minutes across all competitions this season for the Hammers, equating to approximately €6,336 spent per minute of play, excluding his salary. He provided two assists in cup competitions during his time at the club.
The move marks Traoré’s fifth English club, following spells with Barcelona, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Middlesbrough, and Fulham. He struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under manager David Moyes, and the decision to allow him to leave on a free transfer reflects his limited impact on the team.
West Ham also confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański will depart the club. The 41-year-old Polish international, who has 57 caps for his country, has been with West Ham since 2018 but only made a single appearance in the League Cup this season.
Both departures come following West Ham’s relegation from the Premier League, a significant setback for the East London club. The club’s retained list was issued following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. These exits signal a potential period of rebuilding for West Ham as they prepare for life in the Championship.
