Arsenal are waiting for final confirmation on the sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas before accelerating a move for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano. The Turkish Super Lig side have reportedly agreed a €20 million package with Arsenal for Trossard, comprised of an €18 million fee and a further €2 million in add-ons.
Personal terms between Trossard and Besiktas are nearing completion, with the player reportedly offered a three-year contract with an option for a further year. The move is contingent on Trossard’s final approval, as a move to Turkey represents a significant change for the Belgian international. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has reportedly secured the agreement with Besiktas.
Tzolis, who scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists in 52 appearances for Club Brugge last season, is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium. He has reportedly turned down interest from another unnamed club to maintain his focus on joining Arsenal. Sources indicate that Club Brugge are resigned to losing their star winger.
Arsenal have been tracking Tzolis as a potential upgrade on the left wing, with their pursuit intensifying in recent weeks. The Gunners view the Greek international as a suitable replacement for Trossard should the Belgian complete his transfer. While Arsenal are also monitoring Morgan Rogers, Tzolis remains a strong candidate. The situation hinges on Trossard’s decision, but Tzolis’ preference for a move to North London places Arsenal in a favourable position.
