West Ham United have completed the permanent signing of France international forward Kelly Gago from Everton for a reported fee of €600,000. The club announced the deal on Friday, adding to their recent acquisition of Estelle Cascarino, who also joins from France. Gago has signed a three-year contract with the Hammers.
The move sees Gago return to the Women’s Super League, having joined Everton in 2024. During the 2025-2026 season, the 27-year-old made 15 appearances in the WSL, scoring four goals. Everton finished eighth in the league and were eliminated from the FA Cup in the eighth round following a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Gago brings international experience to West Ham, having earned 14 caps for the French national team, scoring three goals. She began her club career in France, playing for Dijon, Saint-Étienne, and Nantes before making the switch to England. Her versatility and goal-scoring record attracted interest from several WSL clubs, but she ultimately chose to join West Ham.
“The family atmosphere of the club really seduced me, and I am delighted to join this family,” Gago stated in a club press release. West Ham will be hoping Gago can bolster their attacking options as they look to improve on their previous WSL campaign. The signing demonstrates the club’s ambition to compete at the higher end of the league table and potentially challenge for European qualification.
