Bayern Munich have reached an agreement to sign Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt for a reported fee of €55million, according to Abendzeitung. The transfer could also see 1.FC Nürnberg benefit through a sell-on clause included in Brown’s previous contract.
Brown joined Eintracht Frankfurt from 1.FC Nürnberg in 2024 for a fee of €5.5million, but the second division club negotiated a 12.5% sell-on clause as part of the agreement. Should the transfer to Bayern Munich be completed for the reported €55million, Nürnberg are set to receive approximately €7million.
The 23-year-old has quickly established himself as a key player in Frankfurt’s squad since his arrival. He has demonstrated consistent performances at left-back, contributing both defensively and in attack. Brown’s move represents a significant profit for Eintracht Frankfurt, who have doubled their initial investment in just over a year.
Prior to his move to Frankfurt, Brown spent a productive period with 1.FC Nürnberg, making 43 appearances across all competitions. During his time with the club, the German international scored one goal and registered eight assists, showcasing his attacking capabilities from the full-back position. He made his first appearance for Nürnberg in March 2023.
Bayern Munich have been in the market for a left-back following concerns over the long-term options available to Thomas Tuchel. Brown’s arrival would provide competition for Alphonso Davies and offer tactical flexibility to the Bavarian giants. This transfer further strengthens Bayern’s squad as they aim to maintain their dominance in the Bundesliga and compete for Champions League success.
