Goalkeeper Giovanni Daffara has completed a permanent transfer from Juventus to Parma, both clubs have confirmed. The 20-year-old joins Parma on a contract that runs until June 30, 2031, after Juventus exercised their buyback option from Avellino before selling him on.
Juventus initially allowed Daffara to gain experience with Avellino during the 2024/25 season, where he made 25 appearances, reaching the first round of the playoffs. Prior to his loan spell, Daffara progressed through the Juventus youth system, making 83 appearances for the club’s Next Gen team, including his professional debut in March 2023. Juventus announced the deal, wishing Daffara well for his future career.
Parma also released a statement confirming the acquisition of Daffara on a definitive transfer. The goalkeeper expressed his delight at joining the club, stating he was convinced by Parma’s clear vision and project. Daffara emphasized the opportunity as a significant one, promising to give his all to grow and contribute to the team’s success. He also voiced his eagerness to meet the Parma supporters.
This move provides Daffara with a clear pathway to regular first-team football, something that may have been less certain at Juventus given the competition for places. For Parma, the signing bolsters their goalkeeping options and adds a promising young talent to their squad as they look to establish themselves in Serie A. The length of the contract indicates Parma’s belief in Daffara’s potential and their commitment to building for the future.
