Davide Frattesi, the 26-year-old Inter midfielder, has informed his representatives of his desire to leave the club in search of a more central role, according to reports in Italy. Juventus have emerged as a potential destination for the Italy international, having previously expressed interest in him during both the recent and previous transfer windows.
Frattesi, formerly of Roma and Sassuolo, is reportedly eager to find a project where he will be a key player. While current Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti appreciates Frattesi’s qualities, including his finishing ability, running, and tactical intelligence, he is prioritizing the acquisition of players who can elevate the team’s overall quality. Spalletti reportedly seeks a more technically gifted player for the attacking midfield role.
The situation is complicated by Inter’s valuation of Frattesi, which is believed to be in excess of 30 million euros. When previously approached regarding a potential deal, Inter officials reportedly suggested Andrea Cambiaso as a potential part of any exchange, a proposal Juventus would likely find difficult to accommodate. Weston McKennie is currently favored over Frattesi in Spalletti’s plans.
Juventus are also considering other options, including Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz, whose contract expires in 2027 and whose future is uncertain pending the appointment of a new manager, potentially Jose Mourinho. While a move for Bernardo Silva remains Juventus’ primary target, Diaz is viewed as a viable alternative. Spalletti is known to admire Diaz’s qualities, having observed him during his time with AC Milan. The club is seeking to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level in Europe, and a player of Diaz’s caliber would contribute to that ambition. Juventus are awaiting a decision from Silva, but will pursue Diaz if the Portuguese international is unavailable.
