Fulham are poised to complete a permanent deal for Bayern Munich forward Jonah Kusi-Asare, with an agreement reportedly reached between the two clubs. According to Sky Germany, the transfer will see the 18-year-old Swedish striker move to the Premier League side for a fee of approximately €6 million.
Kusi-Asare spent the previous season on loan at Fulham, where he featured for the club’s youth teams. While Fulham initially had a purchase option of €12 million, they opted not to trigger it, subsequently negotiating a reduced fee with Bayern Munich. The forward reportedly attracted interest from other English clubs in recent days, but ultimately chose to continue his development with Fulham.
Bayern signed Kusi-Asare from Swedish club AIK in February 2024 for a reported €3.5 million. Despite the investment, the young player found limited opportunities in the Bayern first team, making only two appearances for the senior squad. His move to Fulham represents a chance for more regular playing time and continued growth within a competitive league.
The reduced transfer fee suggests Bayern are willing to facilitate Kusi-Asare’s desire for first-team football, while Fulham secure a promising young talent at a more manageable price point. This move bolsters Fulham’s attacking options and provides a long-term investment in a player with potential, while Kusi-Asare gains a platform to showcase his abilities in the Premier League.
