Juventus are engaged in negotiations with Bologna regarding potential deals for midfielders Fabio Miretti and Joao Mario, according to reports in Italy. The clubs are discussing the terms of possible transfers, with Bologna reportedly interested in securing Miretti on loan, while a permanent move for Joao Mario is also under consideration.
Miretti, 20, has a reported valuation of just under €15 million, but Bologna are prioritizing a loan arrangement for the young Italian international. Miretti featured 19 times for Juventus in Serie A last season, contributing one assist, but has seen his role fluctuate under Massimiliano Allegri. Joao Mario, meanwhile, spent a successful six-month loan spell at Bologna, and a return to the Emilia-Romagna club is a distinct possibility, though the structure of any deal remains a key point of discussion.
Juventus are also aiming to streamline their attacking options, with efforts to move on Arkadiusz Milik and Moise Kean. The club are finding it difficult to attract firm offers for either player, with a loan deal seen as the most realistic outcome for Milik, whose €44 million price tag is proving a deterrent for potential buyers. Kean has been valued at €35 million, but interest has been limited so far. Andrea Cambiaso, who attracted attention from several top European clubs, is currently leaning towards remaining at Juventus, despite the external interest.
Marcus Thuram has reportedly rejected lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian clubs, and remains open to a move to a “big club” in Europe. Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is also believed to be a fan of Thuram, and his arrival could significantly bolster the team’s attacking options. Juventus are aiming to build a competitive squad under Spalletti, with a focus on securing two high-quality strikers to lead the attack. The club is targeting five or six new signings overall to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season.
The overall transfer strategy revolves around generating funds through player sales to finance new acquisitions, with Kolo Muani remaining a key target for the club. Juventus are hoping to unlock their transfer window with a series of strategic moves, aiming to build a team capable of challenging for Serie A honors.
