Juventus have issued an ultimatum to Paris Saint-Germain regarding a potential deal for forward Randal Kolo Muani, according to comments made by Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali. Carnevali stated that the club views PSG’s asking price, reportedly exceeding €45 million, as too high and will pursue alternative targets if an agreement cannot be reached.
Speaking to “La Politica nel Pallone”, Carnevali explained that acquiring Kolo Muani depends on PSG lowering their demands. He indicated the club is prepared to move on to other options if a compromise isn’t found, suggesting the negotiation is currently at a standstill. The Juventus CEO described his first weeks at the club as “intense and fascinating,” expressing optimism about the potential for success.
Carnevali also addressed speculation linking the club with a move for Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi, a player he previously worked with at Sassuolo. He praised Frattesi as a “remarkable player” but confirmed Juventus are well-stocked in that position and do not currently have a need for another player in that role. This suggests the club is prioritizing strengthening other areas of the squad.
Having recently departed Sassuolo to take up his position at Juventus, Carnevali spoke of the difficulty of leaving his former club, citing a strong relationship with the ownership. He also outlined plans to restructure the club’s backroom staff, highlighting the appointment of Massara and a planned overhaul of the scouting department. Carnevali also praised current manager Luciano Spalletti, describing him as one of the best coaches in the game.
The pursuit of Kolo Muani represents Juventus’s ambition to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season. The club finished third in Serie A last season and will be aiming to close the gap on champions Inter Milan. Securing a proven goalscorer like Kolo Muani would significantly strengthen their chances of challenging for the title.
