Juventus were hoping to secure the services of Bernardo Silva on a free transfer from Manchester City, but his participation in the Champions League is a key requirement for the Portuguese midfielder. Juventus director Damien Comolli previously stated that players were interested in joining the club regardless of Champions League qualification, but this does not appear to be the case for Silva, who wants to decide his future before the upcoming World Cup. Spalletti himself reportedly made a personal call to Silva in an attempt to persuade him to join.

Even promising young talent Kenan Yildiz could be sold if a significant offer arrives, with Real Madrid mentioned as a potential suitor. The situation surrounding Dusan Vlahovic’s contract renewal is also uncertain, with his decision potentially hinging on offers from other major European clubs. The club’s ability to secure these players, and retain existing talent, is now heavily reliant on securing Champions League football.
