Gabriel Martinelli is the subject of transfer enquiries from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, according to TEAMtalk. The 24-year-old winger’s future at Arsenal is uncertain as the club seeks to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.
Martinelli, a Brazil international, started on the bench in Arsenal’s Champions League final match against Bayer Leverkusen, with Leandro Trossard preferred in the starting eleven by manager Mikel Arteta. This decision has contributed to speculation surrounding the player’s long-term role at the Emirates Stadium. Sporting director Andrea Berta and Arteta are reportedly assessing a number of potential attacking reinforcements, including Morgan Rogers, Nico Williams, Rafael Leao, and Bradley Barcola.
Bayern Munich are reportedly considering Martinelli as a potential addition to Vincent Kompany’s squad, seeking to provide further support and competition for Luis Diaz. The Bundesliga champions have also previously shown interest in Anthony Gordon, indicating a desire to strengthen their wide attacking options. Paris Saint-Germain have also registered their interest, particularly if Bradley Barcola departs the club during the transfer window.
Atletico Madrid also remain long-term admirers of Martinelli, though a potential deal involving Julian Alvarez has reportedly stalled. Intermediaries previously discussed the possibility of including Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus in a deal for Alvarez, but the player is now leaning towards a move to Barcelona. Gabriel Jesus, also with just over 12 months remaining on his contract, is also considering his options, with a return to Brazil a possibility.
Martinelli’s current contract includes an option for a one-year extension, but Arsenal have yet to make a final decision regarding his future. The winger’s situation is considered more intriguing than that of Jesus, given his age and potential resale value. His departure would allow Arsenal to reinvest in a forward who better fits Arteta’s evolving tactical plans, while providing Martinelli with a platform to become a key player for another European giant.
