Manchester City winger Savinho has indicated a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur through recent social media activity, according to reports. The Brazilian liked a post on Instagram featuring Tottenham’s new kit, posted by James Maddison, before subsequently removing his ‘like’. While seemingly minor, this interaction has fuelled speculation about a summer transfer to North London.
Tottenham reportedly expressed interest in Savinho during the January transfer window, and it is suggested the player was receptive to a move at that time. Sources at TEAMtalk indicate that the club are currently progressing on a deal for the 20-year-old and are confident of securing his signature for a reasonable fee. Savinho’s representatives have reportedly reiterated his continued interest in joining Tottenham, particularly following the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi as the club’s new manager.
De Zerbi is believed to be having a significant influence on attracting players to Tottenham this summer, with several players reportedly eager to work under the Italian coach. Savinho has been a player of interest for some time, and the club view him as a key target to strengthen their attacking options. The winger has not yet followed Maddison back on Instagram, adding another layer to the speculation.
Tottenham have already secured the signings of Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke this summer, and Savinho would become their fourth addition. A transfer fee in the region of £50 million is thought to be sufficient to convince Manchester City to part ways with the Brazilian. The potential arrival of Savinho would further bolster Tottenham’s squad as they aim to challenge for a Champions League spot next season, a target reportedly set for De Zerbi by the club’s hierarchy.
